city characters to promote the bright and friendly city
atmosphere for preparation of the cultural era of the
21st century and implanting self-confidence to the citizens.
Mt. Taebaeksan, the pivot of
the Baekdudaegan range, is a miraculous mountain where
the ritual ceremony was perfomed since early times for
worshiping King Dangun, the Father of Koreans, Azaleas
in spring, profound shady tree nooks in summer, and the
crimson maples in autumn encompass the entire mountain.

sight in winter, and the sunrise seen at the summit of
